Scheduling & Tuition

We operate year-round, Monday – Thursday. Our school year session runs from early September through late May, and our summer session runs from June through mid-August.   Scheduling options are available for 2 or 4 days a week, either half day or full day. Tuition is a fixed monthly rate depending on the schedule that you are registered for.

How To Register

At this time Children’s Discovery Ranch is accepting applications for our waitlist. Registration begins each year in March for currently enrolled families, followed by registration for new families in April. Enrollment is based on space availability and your placement on the waitlist.

Please note that we have many families already on the waitlist and enrollment is not guaranteed. At this time, families often wait a year or more before we are able to offer them a spot. That said, to be considered for future enrollment please complete the waitlist form.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long will we be on the waitlist before our child can start school with you?

A: We strive to provide spots to as many families as possible. We are required to follow our licensing ratios and capacity. At this time families often wait a year or longer.

Q: How will I be notified when a spot is available?

A:  If your contact information changes after you submit your responses on the waitlist form, please be sure to let us know. Otherwise, you will be notified by May 15th if we are able to enroll your child for upcoming sessions. If you are not notified, please know that you will remain on the waitlist for future sessions.

Q: What happens if my child attends a different school while waiting?

A: That’s great and will not effect your position on the waitlist.

Conscious Discipline

The Salida Regional Library
We may be a small mountain town, but Salida has an outstanding public library that offers not just reading material, but also activities for all ages. We love their Kids Crafts and Story Time events. You can view their full event’s calendar here to plan your next trip to the library!

Tinkergarten
Tinkergarten offers membership based, at home, outdoor lessons that are easy to follow. This is a great option if you are looking for weekly at home activities your young explorer can participate in on days they are not at school. Learn more about Tinkergarten here.
Wonderment
We are particularly fond of Wonderment.art. Their approach and phylosoply mirror ours beautifully, and we are looking forward to growing our partnership with them.
